1. Who we are

Silver Sharq Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is a company registered in England and Wales. We operate silversharq.com and act as the data controller for personal data collected through it. You can reach us at hello@silversharq.com.

2. What we collect

  • Account & order data: name, email, billing and shipping address, phone number, order history.
  • Payment data: processed directly by our payment provider (Shopify Payments). We do not store full card numbers.
  • Communications: messages you send to support and any related metadata.
  • Technical data: IP address, device type, browser, language, pages viewed, referrer.
  • Marketing preferences: consents you give for newsletters or marketing.

3. How we use your data

  • To process and fulfil your orders, including shipping and returns.
  • To provide customer support.
  • To detect, prevent and investigate fraud and security incidents.
  • To comply with our legal and accounting obligations.
  • To send marketing communications where you have consented, with an opt-out in every message.
  • To analyse usage of the website and improve our service.

4. Legal basis

We rely on: performance of a contract (your order), legitimate interests (security, analytics, customer support), legal obligation (tax and accounting), and your consent (marketing communications and analytics/marketing cookies).

5. Who we share data with

We share data only with processors who help us run the shop:

  • Shopify Inc. – e-commerce platform.
  • Shopify Payments – payment processing (operated by Shopify Inc.).
  • Shipping carriers – DHL, InPost, DPD and similar, only for delivery.
  • Umami Analytics – self-hosted by us in the EU region (Vercel), aggregated traffic statistics only.
  • Google Ireland Ltd (Google Analytics 4) – website traffic and behaviour analytics; loaded only with your consent.
  • Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd (Meta Pixel) – measurement of advertising campaigns and remarketing; loaded only with your consent.
  • Other marketing tools – any additional consent-based tools will always be listed in the cookie banner before they run.

We do not sell your personal data.

6. International transfers

Some processors are based outside your country. Transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, adequacy decisions (e.g. the UK–EU adequacy decision). Google and Meta may process data in the United States — these transfers rely on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the cart and checkout. With your consent we also use analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4, self-hosted Umami) and marketing cookies (Meta Pixel and similar advertising tools) — these load only after you opt in. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer; withdrawing is as easy as granting.

8. Data retention

We keep order and accounting data for as long as required by tax law (typically up to 6 years). Marketing data is kept until you withdraw consent. Support messages are kept for up to 3 years.

9. Your rights

Under GDPR and UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise these rights, email hello@silversharq.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority – in the UK, the ICO (ico.org.uk); in the EU, contact your national supervisory authority (e.g. UODO in Poland, CNIL in France, AEPD in Spain, or the relevant Landesbehörde in Germany).

10. Children

The website is not intended for individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The current version is always available on this page with the "last updated" date.
